Privacy policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026.

This policy describes how Close Quarters Mom handles personal information through closequartersmom.com, including our newsletter and contact forms. It does not cover the independent practices of other websites, stores, or social platforms we link to.

Information you provide

When you subscribe, we collect your email address and signup information, including whether you used the footer or popup, the page where you signed up, and available campaign source information. We use Mailchimp to manage subscriptions and send newsletters. Depending on email settings and your email software, email activity such as opens and link clicks may also be recorded.

When you contact us or submit a collaboration inquiry, we receive the information you choose to provide. This can include your name, email, company, website, proposed partnership, budget, timeline, and message. Please do not send medical records, payment details, passwords, or other sensitive information through these forms.

Website activity and browser storage

Our website and service providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, referring links, and access times. We use Google Analytics, delivered through Google Tag Manager, to understand visits and improve the site. Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and record interactions and general location derived from technical information.

The newsletter popup uses local and session storage to remember that it has been shown, dismissed, or that you have subscribed. Clearing browser storage can reset these preferences. Cookies used for CMS sign-in are separate from newsletter subscriptions.

How we use information

We use information to deliver the website and media, send requested newsletters, respond to messages, evaluate and manage partnerships, understand site performance, prevent abuse, and address legal obligations. Submitting a collaboration inquiry does not itself subscribe you to the newsletter.

Service providers and outside content

We use providers to operate these features, including Mailchimp for newsletters, Google for analytics, Vercel for hosting and media storage, Neon for database hosting, and Cloudflare for video delivery. Information relevant to their services is processed by those providers. Their own privacy notices describe their additional practices.

Pages may display Instagram media, embedded videos, or other externally hosted content. Loading or interacting with that content can send technical information to the provider, even if you do not leave this website. If you are signed into that provider, it may associate the interaction with your account. Social platforms and external websites have their own privacy settings and policies.

Affiliate links and discount links take you to independent businesses. Those businesses or their affiliate networks may use tracking parameters or cookies to attribute a referral or purchase. Purchases on their websites are handled by them, not by our newsletter or inquiry forms.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or carry out a business transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations.

Your choices and requests

You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter. Unsubscribing stops newsletter marketing but does not necessarily erase records needed to respect your opt-out or respond to an existing inquiry. You can adjust cookie and storage controls in your browser and use privacy controls offered by Google and other providers. Blocking cookies or embedded content may affect site features; it does not necessarily prevent every technical request.

To ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion, use the inquiry form on our Collaborate page, choose Other, and begin your message with Privacy request. Provide only enough information to identify your request. We may need to verify your identity. Available rights, exceptions, appeal rights, and response deadlines depend on applicable law. Where applicable, you may also contact your privacy regulator. This policy does not limit rights provided by law.

Retention, security, and international processing

Retention depends on why information was collected, whether a subscription or business relationship remains active, and applicable legal, security, and recordkeeping needs. Some records may remain in backups or opt-out records after removal from active systems. Contact us about a specific record if you would like it reviewed for deletion.

We use access controls and other safeguards for the information handled through this site, but no website, email service, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, whose laws may differ from those where you live.

Children

Our content is intended for adults, including parents and caregivers, rather than for children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit personal information through this site. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us through the Collaborate page so we can investigate and address it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision; additional notice or consent will be provided where required. For privacy questions, use the inquiry form at closequartersmom.com/collaborate/ and select Other.
